Mobility Networks Group achieves significant global success at RehaCare 2014

The Mobility Networks Group, a world-leading specialist in wheelchair accessible vehicle solutions, has successfully debuted at RehaCare International and exhibited the new FlexiRamp™ for the Ford Tourneo Connect WAV in partnership with API of the Czech Republic.

Mobility Networks launched in early 2014 to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of global products to the transport sector. This multinational organisation supplies wheelchair access lifts, ramps, lowered vehicle floors and further solutions to convertors and builders of buses, coaches, WAVs, PTS/ambulances, trams and trains. Mobility Networks provides a single source for solutions from the world’s best manufacturers and its recently opened German office, delivered an impressive product showcase at RehaCare (Hall 6, Stand C56, Messe Düsseldorf, 24-27 September 2014).Formerly TMN Europe, Mobility Networks Germany hosted a comprehensive product selection that included WAV wheelchair lifts, wheelchair hoists, access ramps and the world-class FlexiRamp™ from API. The FlexiRamp™is a highly respected lowered floor kit that converts specific OEM cars into wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Launched at RehaCare, Mobility Networks displayed a new version of the FlexiRamp™suitable for the Ford Tourneo Connect. This now complements the other models in the range, produced for the Citroën Berlingo, VW Caddy and Peugeot Partner. In addition to its suitability for the Connect, this latest FlexiRamp™also incorporates wheelchair tie-down retractors that are embedded in the floor well – delivering greater convenience and improved aesthetics. As with all the FlexiRamp™models, this latest version will provide substantial time saving benefits to vehicle convertors. It will also offer a trusted, quality solution for wheelchair passengers who can benefit from safe transportation, easy transfers and personalised positioning.Stephan Schwartz, Mobility Networks DE GmbH Managing Director commented: “The Mobility Networks team and I were delighted to meet a high number of international visitors at RehaCare. Our representatives from across the world were busy all four days demonstrating the extensive range of accessible vehicle solutions we had on display. Several vehicle convertors expressed interest in our range of precision powered lifts manufactured by PLS in the UK, which is part of the Mobility Networks Group. The new API FlexiRamp™ for the Ford Connect also generated significant enquiries as it provides such a high quality solution, with seamless and fast integration.

Our complete fitting, servicing and maintenance programmes were also of interest to many global visitors. Overall the show atmosphere was positive and we would like to thank the event organisers for providing the ideal platform for us to debut our latest innovations.”Mike Simmonds, Mobility Networks CEO added: “RehaCare 2014 has added to the momentum of the Mobility Networks Group as it continues to expand. Our representatives met with key purchasers and specifiers throughout the event, whilst also engaging face-to-face with end users – both equally beneficial. Having the opportunity to listen, discuss and understand the needs of our trade customers and product users is always essential in terms of future innovations. We believe this is critical and RehaCare once again delivered a unique opportunity not to be missed.”
